Taking into account the above and the fact that oil refining technologies have changed and developed significantly in the 150 years since people learned to refine oil, legislation and regulations are also changing along with it. And so, in 1999, it was decided to expand the definition of the word "synthetic". Therefore, it is allowed to call all variants of oil compositions, which contain chemically modified liquids and which provide the performance expected from synthetic oils, as synthetic oils. Here we can also see that there are oils with characteristics - fully synthetic, synthetic, synthetic bland, synthetic base, semi synthetic...

From all that has been said, we can conclude that there are no precisely defined boundaries in the classification of synthetic oils. Always make sure that the requirements for oil quality are set by the manufacturers of the mechanism that comes to your disposal.
