Mobil Stern Tube Lubricant is a high performance, high viscosity marine lubricant specially formulated for the lubrication of Cedervall type stern tube bearings and certain marine fin stabilizer bearings. It emulsifies readily with seawater to form a stable water-in-oil emulsion that is tacky and an excellent lubricant. It provides effective protection against rust in the presence of seawater, and the lubricating film is resistant to water washing for long-term protection against corrosion under severe operating conditions.
